2016-06-18-CAP-OSH-Cadet-Power-Academy: Civil Air Patrol - Cadet Power Academy - Airplane, at Oshkosh Airport (KOSH), WI, June 18 2016 - June 26 2016. Staff repositioned airplanes to and from Oshkosh a few days before and after, and had required Staff Training. 6 of the cadets soloed, most others pre-soloed because they did not arrive with the new version of the FAA Student Pilot Certificate (Vetted by the TSA), and/or the new FAA Medical Certificate (which is not a student pilot certificate any more). We had a day of rain, a few mornings of low ceilings, and much flying to the nearby airports, with solos at auxiliary airports, and solos at Oshkosh Airport. During the week, we also had a visit to Oshkosh Tower arranged by Dirk, one of our instructors, who is also an FAA Air Traffic Controller.
