2011-07-11-CAP-NFA-GLI11-TX: Civil Air Patrol - National Flight Academy - Glider 2011 - Texas. Texas Wing CAP conducted a cadet glider flight training academy at the wonderful Soaring Club of Houston (SCOH) Airport (89TA), July 11, 2011 (Mon) through July 15, 2011. The SCOH is located near Waller, TX, ~45 miles NW of Houston, TX. We stayed in cabins at a nearby Christian camp, with breakfast at our cabins and other meals prepared hot and fresh at the airport by our "Iron Cook", Mr. Ed Toohey. Our gliders were CAP and SCOH equipment, including SGS-2-22, SGS-2-33 and Blanik L-23. Our cadets soloed in the SGS-2-33 called "CAP 8".
